 - Geena and Crystal are two Black girlfriends. Crystal is seen as the smart girl, and Geena focuses more on being popular. Together both girls help the other to compensate with what the other lacks.
- Crystal gains popularity by using her brains to generate a scheme that causes her classmates to vandalize their own school. With its success she gets the name "Cee-cee" by which her new friends address her.
- Cee-cee is offered to go to an academic seminar for the summer, Geena is upset and feels left behind by Crystal. Distance grows between the girls
- Crystal becomes valedictorian and they decide to prank the graduation field. The prank gets out of hand and the fire threatens to burn down the school when Geena makes a decision to send Crystal away and chooses to stay and take the blame.
