 - Angel and her friends were trying to sell their eggs for money and one girl Laura was chosen for her eggs. Angel and her friends have big dreams to be successful but they didn't have much money to help them except Laura.
- When Angel got pregnant, she decides to lean on Laura for support. She struggles with the decision on whether to keep the baby or abort it. She tells her father expecting him to be mad but finds him accepting. She states, "I wanted to hurt somebody, and so far it wasn't working" (75). She then goes to her boyfriend, Rafael who wants to make it work and keep the baby.
- She goes to the clinic to abort the baby with Laura but finds herself not wanting them to call her number and decides not to go through it. She struggles with the fact of how much money it will cost and that she couldn't afford it resulting in Laura giving Angel money to help her.
